Canada Post reaches tentative deal with union, averting job action – CBC

Draft pacts still need to be ratified by mail carriers

Following marathon bargaining sessions that reached into the wee hours, Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers have reached tentative agreements, averting a possible mail disruption that had loomed for months.

In a statement Tuesday evening, Labour Minister MaryAnn Mihychuk said the proposed collective agreements were reached “voluntarily” but provided no other details about the deals themselves.
