Nelson, B.C. – Kim Charlesworth, Nelson-Creston’s B.C. Greens MLA Candidate is hosting a campaign launch this Saturday, January 14, 6-8pm at 901 Front Street in Nelson.
The public is welcome to come and hear from Kim and volunteers, as they share their personal reasons for supporting Green in the upcoming May 9th provincial election.
Charlesworth has opened an office, has staff and a strong campaign hitting the ground – regardless of how cold it is out there! She and her team are door-knocking, excited to connect with residents.
“Because I love this place, I want our unique rural interests to be strongly represented. Support for LNG is a prime example of how both the BC Liberals and NDP are focused on working for big business and big labour at the expense of rural economies and BC residents. Greens are truly people-powered,” says Charlesworth. “and I believe it’s time we work together to hold the two main parties accountable for putting large corporate interests ahead of building resilient local economies.” Kim’s experience working in poverty and food security projects have made her an obvious choice for the B.C. Greens Agriculture & Food Security Spokesperson. She is interested in hearing the many voices of the region to contribute to creating local solutions for job creation, housing affordability, and reducing poverty.
