Castlegar man dies after being struck by tree while grooming ski trails

Accidental Death of Castlegar Man

Trail and Greater District Detachment is assisting the BC Coroner Service and Woksafe BC with the investigation into the death of a local Castlegar man who was struck by a tree.

The 72 year old man was grooming trails in the Nancy Green cross country ski area when the accident occurred last Friday. A skier was using the trails when he came across the accident scene.

Police, Fire, Ambulance and Search and Rescue were involved in the initial call.
