Road work continues on the side road in Ainsworth BC after wash-out

A slide below 3430 Loon Lake Road south of Ainsworth forced the evacuation of one residence March 24 as well as Loon Lake Road was heavily damaged due to heavy water flow in the vicinity. Repairs to the road are on going and hope to be completed soon.

Highway 3 Both directions – Rock Slide and Debris Removal 12 km west of Creston (Kootenay Pass). The road is reduced to single lane alternating traffic. Expect 30 minutes delays 9:00 am to 2:00 pm PST. Updated on Fri Mar 31 at 7:38 am PDT.
