Zwicky Road, Kaslo Landslide – Evacuation Order Rescinded, Homes Remain on Evacuation Alert

The Regional District of Central Kootenay is rescinding the Evacuation Order for six homes below the Zwicky Road Landslide; however the six homes will remain on Evacuation Alert.

The Evacuation Alert on the surrounding 41 homes has been rescinded.

To report any debris indicators or hazards, or in the event of an emergency, residents can call the 24-hour provincial Emergency Coordination Centre toll-free number at1-800-663-3456.

There will be a public meeting held in Kaslo on Monday May 1st at 6pm to provide an update to residents. The meeting with be held at the Kaslo Royal Canadian Legion Hall, located at 403 5thStreet in Kaslo.
