Since suspension of the search effort to locate 57 year old on June 4th, 2017, the water levels in Crawford Creek have been closely monitored and have now receded sufficiently for search efforts to resume. The Creston RCMP and Nelson SAR and Swift Water technicians will be recommencing a search of Crawford Creek and area on Monday June 19, 2017.

Approximately 50 to 60 percent of Crawford Creek in the area has been searched to date. With receding water levels and flows that we now have, the search effort can resume in areas that were not covered previously, stated Cpl Dan Moskaluk
