Severe thunderstorm warning ENDED for: West & East Kootenay, Elk Valley

At 6:20 PM PDT, Environment and Climate Change Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms from 25 kilometres northwest of Castlegar to Nelson.

These thunderstorms are capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
