Cranbrook, BC: Society Against Distracted Drivers is pleased to announce the launch of a new nonprofit effort focusing on education and public safety to reduce incidents of distracted driving in The East Kootenay region of BC.
An average of 78 people are killed each year due to distracted driving in B.C.
Distracted driving is widespread and increasingly dangerous for public safety.
SADD is committed to putting a stop to needless deaths on our roads.
SADD will educate the public about penalties and safer driving practices and work with ICBC (Insurance Corporation of British Columbia) and RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police). It is SADD’s goal to reduce accidents caused by distracted drivers.
