45-year-old West Kootenay man faces possible drug-related charges after Erratic driving complaint

Police were called just after 7 PM on Saturday after a concerned motorist reported a possible impaired driver in a grey Dodge Ram truck driving erratic along Highway 33 east of Kelowna BC…

The RCMP dispatched a police officer and pulled over the driver were a bag containing drugs was in plain sight.

Police took the driver into custody and seized just over 100 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, 30 grams of suspected cocaine, 7 grams of suspected fentanyl and a dozen grams of marijuana.

A 45-year-old man from the West Kootenay was arrested and remanded into custody over the weekend and was to appear in Kelowna’s provincial court today.

RCMP Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey said “Thanks to our caller, a potentially dangerous driver and these dangerous drugs have now been removed from our streets.”
