A BC transit bus, carrying passengers, struck a pedestrian at an intersection in Castlegar Tuesday. The 91 year-old is to make a full recovery
TMTV.NET – (Castlegar RCMP) – On January 9, 2018 at about 5:09 pm Castlegar RCMP received a report of a pedestrian versus vehicle collision at the intersection of 7th Ave and 6th Street in the City of Castlegar.
RCMP attended the scene along with Castlegar Fire and Ambulance. The investigation revealed a BC transit bus, carrying passengers, struck a pedestrian at the intersection. None of the passengers on the bus were injured. The 91 year old male pedestrian of Castlegar, BC sustained non life threatening injures from the collision and was transported by ambulance to Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail. It has been reported the injured male will make a full recovery. Alcohol, speed and road conditions have been ruled out as contributing factors.
The collision is still under investigation.
