TMTV.NET (RCMP) – On February 9, 2018 just before 4:00 pm, the Golden-Field RCMP were notified that an avalanche had been triggered near Hospital Creek in southeast BC.

One person was seriously injured and has been transported by Air Ambulance to a hospital in Calgary.

Just one day before an avalanche warning had been issued  for this area.

Back country enthusiasts, be it mechanized or non-mechanized users, are asked to be aware of avalanche and weather condition for their area and to ensure that they check current avalanche conditions at avalanche.ca prior to participating in these outdoor activities.
