CASTLEGAR – The BC Wildfire Service is planning to burn piles of wood debris in the Mt. Buchanan area (about 11 kilometres west of Kaslo) during the week of Oct. 16-20, 2017, to reduce the risk of aggressive wildfires in the area in future.
On Saturday, October 14th 2017, the cadets from 561 Nelson Osprey Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Cadets went flying over Nelson and area. The cadets were flown in 2 Cessna 172 aircraft.
